Daniel D. Rubino

Daniel D. Rubino is the Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ImpactWayv. He is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GCA Capital Group, a business development, financial and legal services advisory firm in New York. Previously, he co-founded and was Chief Executive Officer of 787 Capital Group LLC, a privately-held merchant banking firm in New York. Mr. Rubino was Partner and Advisor to the 52nd Governor of the State of New York, Mario M. Cuomo, for over 15 years. Governor Cuomo was Chairman of the Board of 787 Capital. Mr. Rubino has decades of business, financial, nonprofit and legal experience and expertise in the private, public, and quasi-public sectors, as well as in philanthropy and the nonprofits sectors. He specializes in: business development, organization and management; nonprofit and charitable foundation leadership; health care, social and educational services; corporate and nonprofit governance and regulatory compliance; infrastructure development; public-private partnerships, complex business transactions; finance and securities; sovereign governmental advisory services.

Over the last thirty years, Mr. Rubino has advised a variety of public and private organizations, including the State of Rhode Island; Federal Republic of Nigeria; Cablevision and Madison Square Garden; QVC; HSN; Philadelphia Stock Exchange; Comcast; J. Crew; PepsiCo; Thomson International; United Health; Kenneth Cole; and numerous Wall Street investment banks and private equity firms.

Mr. Rubino served as a member of the Board of Directors (and Audit Committee) of Emblem Health / GHI (one of the largest health insurance corporations, with revenues of over $12 billion) for more than 10 years. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Cabrini Mission Foundation (a global nonprofit organization consisting of medical centers, educational institutions and elder and hospice care facilities) for 15 years. Mr. Rubino served on the Board of Trustees of the World Energy Forum (a United Nations affiliated organization focusing on sustainable energy development) and the New York Institute of Energy and Water. He also served as Board Member of the Fordham Center for Nonprofit Leaders (a graduate program sponsored by Fordham University Graduate Schools of Social Service and Business Administration, integrating social justice, business and management education). He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuro Research, Changing Our World, Inc. and as the first Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Finance Committee of Cabrini Medical Center in Manhattan. Mr. Rubino serves as Board Member of the Connecticut Retail Merchants Association, St Martin Academy (New Haven, CT), Town Fair Tire Foundation, the Nancy Ann Mellen Foundation, and is a member of the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy.

Mr. Rubino has received the United Hospital Fund’s Distinguished Trustee Award, bestowed annually to trustees of boards of hospitals in the New York metropolitan area for extraordinary service and leadership. Mr. Rubino is a frequent lecturer at various legal and business conferences and has Chaired PLI’s Annual Review of Corporate and Securities Law in New York City. Mr. Rubino is admitted to the Bar of New York State. Mr. Rubino received a J.D. from St. John’s University Law School where he was Editor-in-Chief of the St. John’s Law Review, Editor-in-Chief of the Catholic Lawyer, as well as a St. Thomas More Scholar.

He was, until 2018, Vice Chairman and Chairman Asia Pacific of Omnicom Group, Inc. (NYSE:OMC), a global marketing, advertising and communications holding company. As a young entrepreneur in the early 1980’s, he founded China’s first independent communications group and today is widely acknowledged to be one of the most influential of the original pioneers in the country’s communications industry.

With on-the-ground business experience in Asia, Europe, and the United States, Mr. Dumont brings a deep international perspective to his endeavors. He also believes that companies must serve a purpose beyond simply making a profit, and that social responsibility is an integral part of business success. His role as a global citizen extends beyond business to encompass philanthropy particularly in the areas of health education.

He has been serving on the boards of several corporations, academic and non-profit institutions and was a Special Representative for UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS.

Mr. Dumont received honors and awards from national governments and international organizations for his contributions to business, philanthropy, health, culture and education.

A graduate of the Sorbonne with dual degrees, Mr. Dumont also studied at Taiwan Normal University and the Political Institute in Taipei. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and French.

George C. Dolatly is the Co-Founder and President of ImpactWayv, and a member of its Board of Directors. As an expert in philanthropy, Mike has provided strategic guidance to the world’s leading nonprofit organizations, philanthropies and corporations in organizational development, fundraising, branding and corporate social engagement. Benji Bernstein

Benji Bernstein is the Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of ImpactWayv, joining the venture from his previous role as Senior Director of Research and Data Analytics at Changing Our World. He leads the technology team at ImpactWayv, with primary responsibility for developing the ImpactWayv™ Social Impact Technology Platform, as well as all of ImpactWayv’s integrated technology and data analytics offerings.

Benji also has extensive experience in additional nonprofit and for-profit management consulting service areas – from strategic and business planning, to development strategy and campaign implementation. During his tenure at Changing Our World, Benji provided data-driven development counsel, and comprehensive market research and analysis, to some of the nation’s most prominent nonprofit organizations and corporations – including The Salvation Army, National 4-H Council, UN Foundation, Hilton Foundation, Conoco Phillips, and Amgen, among several other major organizations and foundations. He also provided strategic development counsel directly to Former Governor of Puerto Rico, Sila Calderón, and her private Foundation – one of the top community economic development organizations working in Puerto Rico.

Outside of his professional work, Benji also has a committed and extensive track record in the social action space. Benji began his career working as a Community Development Fellow with the Yahel Social Change Fellowship – through which he spent a year working with and assisting local community organizers in an underserved community abroad, to improve communal education opportunities, and build positive, sustainable programming for local at-risk youth. He now serves as a Board Member of this growing organization, where he is actively involved in developing its major strategic planning, development and marketing initiatives.

Benji holds his BA, magna cum laude, in Economics and Philosophy from Brandeis University, and recently completed his studies in The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania’s Business Analytics Program.

 

Karen Talamelli Cusick

Karen Talamelli Cusick is Executive Vice President of ImpactWayv providing strategic leadership for client development, project management, marketing and operations.

Karen had served as Treasurer and Director of Finance for Project Service LLC since its inception in 2008 until January 2021.  Karen was an integral part of the founding team and management of this successful Carlyle Group-sponsored transportation and real estate public private partnership in Connecticut, which has become a national model for P3 infrastructure projects in the United States.

Additionally, Karen is President of Cusick & Company LLC, a Connecticut based financial, administrative, and governmental advisory services firm. Karen is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of Connecticut. Karen also served for thirteen years as the Financial Administrator of a Connecticut engineering firm, specializing in state and municipal environmental and transportation projects, and involving various state and local entities, including the CT DOT, MA Highway and environmental agencies.
Karen has also served as the Chief of Staff/Operations Manager for a local municipality, having oversight over town departments and liaison responsibilities with the CEO, Boards and Commissions, and state and federal officials. In addition, Karen served as the Project Coordinator for a major Connecticut based HVAC contractor for sixteen years and has acted as a project manager for a variety of major renovation and improvement projects. Karen has an extensive record of local public service in Woodbridge and prior to that in the town of Seymour, where she lived. In July 2018 Karen was a declared candidate for the office of the Secretary of the State of Connecticut. Karen was elected to the Seymour Board of Selectman; Board of Finance; Board of Assessment Appeals; and Library Board of Directors. She also served as an appointee on the Seymour Board of Public Works, where she was chair for three years. Karen also chaired the Seymour Emergency Services Building Commission and served on the Civil Service and Arts and Culture Commissions. Karen has been involved with numerous charitable and community organizations throughout the years. Currently, Karen serves as a Trustee of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Woodbridge and a Director on the board of All Saints Catholic Academy in New Haven and is a Justice of the Peace in Connecticut.

 

Kathleen Ventrella

Kathleen serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of ImpactWayv, overseeing integrated marketing strategy development and implementation for our ImpactWayv™ Social Impact Technology Platform. In addition, through ImpactWayv’s Social Impact Services Platform, Kathleen has helped to develop a marketing and fundraising campaign for the Lieber Institute for Brain Development. In her previous role as an independent consultant at Changing Our World, Kathleen managed consulting engagements with major clients like Harry Winston, Bally, and Xylem, Inc. Prior to that, Kathleen was a Director of Partner Management at (Product) RED where she managed existing partner relationships and developed strategies and proposals for potential new corporate partners.

Having started her career as an advertising executive, Kathleen understands the corporate sector, and has over 20 years of broad management experience. Kathleen developed integrated communications plans for national and global brands from strategy development through plan execution. Her accounts have ranged from Philips Electronics, to Hasbro Toys, to Estee Lauder cosmetics.

Kathleen recently co-founded SuccessReady, an organization that provides financially in-need college students with free-professional attire, interview preparation, and career mentoring. She is on the Leadership Council of Cordaid, a global humanitarian organization, and is an Advisory Board member of the iF Foundation, an agricultural initiative in Haiti. Kathleen lives in Rye, NY with her husband and two teenage children.

 

Lee Reynolds

Lee Reynolds is Senior Vice President of ImpactWayv, bringing her vast experience in government and public relations to our team. Lee’s primary focus is project management and strategic planning, using her experience in the governmental and political sectors.

In 2016, Lee founded EMR Consulting, LLC, which provides strategic consulting, public relations and communications services to its clients. Lee provides innovative planning and management for a broad array of special projects. Clients include, among others, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy’s political action committee, the Connecticut Democratic Party and the Campaign School at Yale.  In addition, she served as an advisor to the Connecticut Delegation to the 2020 Democratic National Convention. Through her work, Lee has developed a strong network of connections in the public and private sectors in Connecticut and Washington.

Lee has more than 25 years of experience working for three members of the United States Senate: Christopher J. Dodd, Connecticut; James Sasser, Tennessee and Chris Murphy, Connecticut. Her responsibilities have included political strategy, planning and logistics. She was also a key liaison with state and local governments on a range of projects and issues, giving her an invaluable understanding of how government operates. Lee is a consultant to Dodd Human Rights Impact at the University of Connecticut and a Commissioner of the West Hartford Housing Authority. She holds a BA in Political Science from Gettysburg College.

 

Gabriela Isler

As Miss Universe of 2013, Gabriela Isler serves as a role model for young women in her native Venezuela and all around the world to become leaders throughout their communities. Gabriela has continued to be a powerful advocate for women and girls by founding The Universe of Blessings Fund. The Universe of Blessings Fund is dedicated to empowering young women and girls across the globe.

Gabriela plays a central role at our nonprofit division, SoulfulImpact.org, by enhancing its social media presence and outreach in support of its mission to promote and celebrate "the other" in the workplace and in the community.

 

Alan hamilton, CPA

Treasurer and Secretary, ImpactWayv

Alan is the Treasurer and Secretary at ImpactWayv, overseeing its internal accounting as well as client accounting advisory functions. He began his career in the tax department at Arthur Andersen in New York City, before later moving over to KPMG, where he was a tax partner in their New York City office. About 20 years ago, Alan established, together with others, his own tax consulting partnership. He consults with a broad range of clients on their tax issues, both domestic and international.

Alan is a member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA. He received his MBA from Columbia Business School in New York City, and his BA from the University of Bristol in England.

 

Siobhan Hoffman

Nonprofit Chief Creative Officer, SoulfulImpact.org

Siobhan is the Chief Creative Officer of ImpactWayv’s nonprofit division, SoulfulImpact.org. As both an artist and creative writer, in 2017 Siobhan published her first book of poetry, The Silence that Screams, a collection of poems dealing with addiction, mental illness and rehabilitation. Hoffman brings her poems to bookstores, conferences and rehabilitation centers to advocate for mental health and addiction awareness.

In addition to her background in creative design and writing, a service trip to Africa sparked Siobhan's interest in philanthropy. Following that trip, she produced a documentary based on her experiences and is continuing her social impact work through managing the creative product design within the SoulCare shop – the e-commerce platform of SoulfulImpact.org selling products that promote wellness, with the proceeds going to Soulful Impact’s partner nonprofits.
