It's Miss Universe Pageant week! But what many people don't understand is that this is so much more than a beauty contest. ImpactWayv got a chance to speak with Krystle Bell Saulsbury of Krystle Clear Pageantry just ahead of the 71th Miss Universe competition being held this year 2023 on Jan 14th in the City of New Orleans. Krystle explains how contestants use their platform to raise awareness of important issues and spearhead social impact. Saulsbury gives great insight as to how a contestant's productive use of this platform can play a big role in landing that crown on their head.

Erden is the first man to solo circumnavigate the globe by human power, the holder of 17 Guinness World Records, and the Founder of the nonprofit, Around-n-Over On Dec 26th Erden set off for the Philippines where he will bicycle and across Lunzi Island before rowing across the South China Sea to Vietnam. Erden Eruç’s primary drive has been to highlight the plastic pollution in the ocean and the impact of humanity on fellow creatures on this earth. Erden has partnered with Ocean Recovery Alliance and Exploring By the Seat of Your Pants, an outfit affiliated with National Geographic which has a network of classrooms.
